2. Data, Purposes and Legal Bases

For waitlist registrations, we process your email address, consent record, and submission-related information to update you about Taley and the planned beta (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

Contact, school, and feedback forms and surveys on thank-you pages may include, depending on the form, name, email address, message, institution, role, age range, rating, free text, and consent details. We use them to handle your enquiry, pilot interest, or feedback. The legal bases are consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) and, for pre-contractual school or contact enquiries, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

When pages are requested, technical logs may include IP address, time, requested URL, referrer, browser/device information, and status messages. We process them to provide, secure, and troubleshoot the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

3. Children's Privacy

        Important: This marketing website and its forms are directed to adults, especially parents,
        educators, and institutions, not children. Statements about a future Taley app are development goals, not
        descriptions of live app processing.
      

4. Recipients, Hosting and Transfers

We use Netlify for hosting, technical functions, and form submissions. We use Resend to deliver email; recipient and message details and account, delivery, and log metadata may be processed. Where applicable, both providers act as processors.

Depending on provider infrastructure, processing may take place outside the European Economic Area, particularly in the United States. Transfers take place only in accordance with Articles 44 et seq. GDPR, for example under an adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards such as EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

5. Storage Duration

We delete personal data when its purpose ends or consent is validly withdrawn, unless statutory retention or evidence duties or legitimate legal-defense interests require further storage.

6. Your Rights and Withdrawal

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

Access - You can request information about your stored data
Correction - You can have incorrect data corrected
Deletion - You can request deletion of your data
Restriction - You can request restriction of processing
Data Portability - You can request your data in a common format
Objection - You can object to processing

You may withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future, for example by email. This does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

7. Local Storage and Cookies

We do not use tracking cookies on this website. When you dismiss the Taley teaser, we store the key taley_teaser_dismissed in browser localStorage so it stays hidden for 24 hours. This information remains locally on your device.

We reserve the right to update this privacy policy. Changes will be published on this page.

9. Right to Complain

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority if you believe that the processing of your data violates the GDPR.
